You can request a refund in either of two ways:
Through us: email contact@thesecondworld.org with your order details (name, email used at checkout, and the book purchased). We will forward the request to Paddle for processing.
Through Paddle directly: visit paddle.net and enter the email you used at checkout. You can review your order and request a refund from there.
Refunds are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"), our payment processor and merchant of record, and are subject to Paddle's refund policy. You will typically see the refund on your original payment method within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
Our products are digital goods delivered immediately upon confirmed payment. By completing your purchase and confirming immediate delivery, you acknowledge that download has begun and you consent to waive any statutory withdrawal period applicable in your jurisdiction, to the extent permitted by law.
Your 30-day contractual guarantee above applies regardless of this waiver. This means: even though the legal cooling-off period for digital goods is often waived at checkout, we will still honour a refund within 30 days as a matter of our own policy.
If you do not receive your files within 30 minutes of payment confirmation, contact us at contact@thesecondworld.org and we will resend immediately. Delivery failures are not a reason to seek a refund before contacting us — we will always resend first.
